Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and update orders in Expedient, ensuring accurate tracking and progress
- Place and follow up on client orders with overseas agents to ensure timely processing
- Update clients on the status and progress of their shipments
- Monitor shipments and collaborate with the Key Account Manager to address any delays or disruptions
- Work closely with the offshore data processing team, reviewing their reports for accuracy
- Ensure that all import documentation is accurate and compliant with relevant regulations and requirements
- Coordinate customs clearance and arrange final delivery to clients
- Manage invoicing and handle any account-related queries or concerns
- Ensure daily workflows are handled efficiently to meet KPIs
- Provide support to the Key Account Manager and Import Operations team as needed
- Perform additional duties as requested by management or other departments
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar import sea operations role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and freight forwarding software, like CargoWise and Expedient
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in written communication, both internally and externally
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service across various channels, including written, phone, and face-to-face
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Positive and adaptable approach to change
