Duties and Responsibilities:
- Client Interaction:
- Serve as the first point of contact for client inquiries
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients
- Operational Tasks:
- Manage purchase orders, quotations, and rate negotiations
- Update rates as needed and chase documentation to ensure accuracy
- Ensure all required paperwork is received and passed for customs clearance
- Oversee job registration, pre-alerts, EDO's, and underbonds
- Cargo and Shipment Monitoring:
- Monitor cargo availability and its status
- Check transshipment details
- Handle sea/air cargo reporting and coordinate local/interstate movements (road & rail)
- Pay charges and organize EDO's
- Invoicing and Coordination:
- Finalise invoices for clients and overseas agents
- Collaborate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, overseas agents, customers, suppliers, and internal teams
- CargoWise experience preferred
- Freight forwarding account management experience, especially within the Australian market
- Strong customer service, communication (written and verbal), and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
- Creativity and problem-solving abilities
