Key Responsibilities:
- Book shipments with airlines or sea vessels
- Liaise with the transport department to ensure timely deliveries
- Register and handle documentation for air import/export shipments
- Provide customers with regular updates on shipment progress
- Update and utilise CargoWise on a daily basis
- Raise and process invoices
- Review and approve shipment costs
- Handle claims for damaged or faulty imported goods
- Communicate financial transactions with the Accounts department
- Coordinate with shipping agents on vessel availability and arrange loading
- Plan and implement import/export strategies and activities
- Maintain high standards of customer service
- Proficiency with CargoWise software essential
- Strong knowledge of the import/export process
- Experience in MS Office
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines
- Strong time management skills
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Team player with good interpersonal skills
