Key Responsibilities:
- Manage general customer inquiries and provide timely and effective query resolution
- Oversee the purchase order process, ensuring accuracy and timely processing
- Regularly prepare and update customers on status reports for their shipments
- Formulate and submit client quotations based on their requirements
- Act as a liaison between overseas offices, internal departments, vendors, and clients, ensuring smooth communication and timely service
- Attend client visits with sales staff and management when required, offering excellent customer service and strengthening client relationships
- Obtain buy rates and prepare selling rates for clients
- Request and manage quotes on CargoWise (CW1)
- Confirm sales and ensure a smooth handoff to operations
- Work closely with 2 other team members in the department, providing a hands-on approach to customer service
- Proven experience in customer service, in a logistics or freight forwarding environment
- MUST have experience using CargoWise (CW1) for quoting and other related tasks
- Demonstrated stable, long-term work history with previous experience in a mid-sized company
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities with a focus on customer satisfaction
- A customer service/sales background is essential, with a passion for providing excellent service rather than experience in operations focused roles
- Looking for long-term commitment; you should be looking for a stable, long-term role and not short-term employment
- Ability to work well with a small, close-knit team
- This is a very hands-on position, ideal for someone who enjoys taking initiative and solving problems
