Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies
- Reconcile bank statements, accounts, and financial discrepancies
- Assist with month-end and year-end closings
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payments, and collections
- Assist with tax preparation and filing
- Support internal audits and external audits when required
- Analyse financial data to assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
- Assist in the development of financial procedures and improvement of current processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, MYOB, SAP) and Microsoft Excel
- Experience working in freight forwarding or logistics an advantage
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and regulations
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
