In the role you will be responsible for processing customer orders locally and internationally. The ideal applicant will have experience in food logistics working with retail clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicate with customers & suppliers regarding shipments & deliveries
- Liaise with customs agents/transport companies/warehouses regarding deliveries & releases
- Update and maintain shipping files
- Arrange transport and storage of goods
- Ensure suppliers have relevant information regarding import documents
- Prepare and send out shipping advices to customers
- Arrange receipt, de-consolidation, repacking, labelling and dispatch of samples
- Handle AQIS/AGAL enquiries
- Source new warehouse/transport service providers when required
- Advise traders on transport and packing restrictions
- Raise invoices for goods delivered
- Set up & manage stock cards
- Receive customer forecasts and manage stock & shipments accordingly
- Undertake various accounting and commercial support tasks
- Reliable, friendly, proactive and professional attitude
- Some experience in logistics or tertiary educated in the field
- Good communication skills with an eye for details
- Good computer skills including word processing and excel
- Strong ability to multi-task, manage time and prioritise
- Spanish as a first or second language is highly regarded
- Willingness to work as part of a team to support colleagues on an ad-hoc basis
